I just saw the post on how Qualcomm chips ([link to story](https://www.nitrokey.com/news/2023/smartphones-popular-qualcomm-chip-secretly-share-private-information-us-chip-maker)) might be sending device information back to the parent company. This, at least conceptually, makes it the same case as Intel ME, AMD PSP and whatever other ARM manufacturers use. If I understand correctly, every one of these technologies implements a TCP stack of their own, and because they work below the OS, the OS cannot stop their network communication.
