Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age

I'm just curious because i risk losing lots of crypto if somehow my 2fa backups are compromised, since Authy also knows my email.
I'm actually considering moving to an open source 2fa, what would you guys recommend? I briefly saw that some people mention Aegis, is there anything better than that?
Thank you

2fa authy back back up backups cloud compromised crypto email moving open source people privacy risk safe trust
