How is the secure comms app "Telegram" viewed in general here on r/Privacy?

I've used Signal, WhatsApp and someone has asked me to download and use Telegram but wasn't sure how the community rated and regarded this app. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks
Edit: What does the community regard as the worlds top few secure comms apps?
What is the communities consensus on Wikr now - I believe over time they've partially or completely released their code as being open source although I'd need to check this to confirm it.
