how important is clearance to this industry?

I’m currently an intel guy in the military, and looking at my clearance potentially being taken due to suicidal ideation and self harm. It’s been a tough year. My goal for myself was to switch to cyber security after i’m done being medically separated, but now i’m not so sure. I know many senior positions even in the private sector require some level of clearance, but i'm wondering if it's possible to have a successful and rewarding career without one. …
