This question and Endpoint security is slightly out of my wheelhouse. I'm working with a company that handles regulated data as in the course of business. Across their domain, Windows Firewall is disabled via GPO, but they have an EDR/MDR solution in place.

Does the presence of an EDR/MDR negate the need for host based firewalls? If not, is there a recommended method for managing Windows firewalls?

Thanks ahead of time!
