I'm trying to decide if I need to get a Master's in computer science to be competitive in the cyber defense space. I have a BS in IT, not computer science, so I feel at a disadvantage.

I'm interested in technical positions, though not turned off to policy. 1 year experience so far in the field.

My question is solely in the context of getting past HR. I don't believe degrees are even necessary, but they do.
