How do you maintain a public persona in cyber?

I’m 10 years deep in my cybersecurity career. I do reverse engineering/vulnerability research. Every company I’ve worked for has NDAs, other legally binding things, or a marketing department that either prevent or discourage me from ever really sharing my work publicly. There are around a dozen things published or derived from work I’ve done without my name on it or credit given.

So many people at DEFCON can talk opening about their work and I’m genuinely jealous of that.
