How do you internally process a layoff?

I was laid off my position as a vm engineer at an mssp this morning. It was sudden and abrupt. I was a top performer at my company, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that multimillion dollar deals were closed on the back of my work. I had nothing but praise from my clients and c suite.
