How do you apply cybersecurity skills to a completely different career field?

Had an interesting conversation about cybersecurity as a career and how people usually have more than one career in their lifetime. I see hundreds of articles on how to move IN to cybersecurity, but nothing on how to take those skills and apply them to a different career (aka, when you get tired of cybersecurity after 20+ yrs but don't want to start from scratch again).
