How do I delete my facebook "account" which I have never actually used since it was created?

Many many years ago, I remember using my gmail ID to "access" facebook ONCE (back when I was very young and still figuring out the social media stuff). I say access because I don't remember creating a facebook account but I may have used my gmail address in facebook.
