HOW DO I BUILD A SOC ANALYSIS HOME LAB AROUND PFSENSE?

I have looked around online for this, i keep coming across different ideas but i feel most of them are outdated and i need to know what tools are currently in demand in the real world to build a homelab around those tools and how its architecture is supposed to look like.
