How are you doing endpoint management for 1099s/BYOD?

Trying to find a solution to make all parties happy here - we have 1099s that we work with occasionally (1 week a month or so) so we allow BYOD. however, that doesn't give me the DLP warm and fuzzies. Putting MDM on their devices isn't out of the question but would be expensive and intrusive.
