cybersecurity www.reddit.com

I see a lot of posts saying that its best to start at helpdesk to have a successful career in cybersecurity. I've been interviewing for jobs recently and they are all for security analyst or SOC analyst positions, none for helpdesk or IT support.

I'm worried (I'm a worry wart, working on it) that if I'm offered a security analyst or SOC analyst position that I won't succeed because I dont' have any help desk experience.

Are my worries/concerns legitimate? …
