Help with removing metadata using exiftool

My command bar reads as follow:
C:\Windows>exiftool -all= C:\Users\natha\desktop\testing.jpg
The response i get is:
0 image files updated
1 image files unchanged
Why isnt it changing the image file/removing all metadata?
Sorry I've very new to this.
