Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age www.reddit.com

I am working on a class project that shows how some popular applications in Windows 11 try to abuse users privacy.
I was thinking about installing a few popular programs and monitoring the registry for changes during installation and execution to see if these programs try to access personal directories or do things that abuse users privacy.
Is monitoring the registry the best way to go about this, or is there something else I should be looking for ? Suggestions? …
