Help me decide on a Capstone project for my Cybersecurity Bachelors

I have two ideas for projects, and I would love some input from the Cybersecurity folks....

1. A 'portable' and highly secure router using a Raspberry Pi, that can also give intelligent insight on the traffic passing through it, and hopefully can also include functionality like an IDS, and I was also thinking I could institute traffic sniffing capabilities as well.
