I just watched a yt video from [Network Chuck](https://www.youtube.com/live/gMU5bngGQ1E?si=iRtN9xyx7f3F0QtA) talking about how important help desk is even if you want to do things such as cybersecurity, DevOps, etc. He goes on to talk bout how the skills you learn in the role are much more valuable than just getting certs and reading books. He said something along the lines of “working 1 day in help desk will teach you more than reading an entire book”.
