I just took a transatlantic flight to France, and was a little dismayed by the security apparatus. Check in was done with facial recognition, likely linked to our passport pictures that are already in the system.
The opt out process was a joke. I of course opted out, but was the only one out of 200 people to do so (making me look like a terrorist).
