Google wants debit card to verify that I'm over 18 on YouTube

I have 2 options, either send them my id card or some sort of document which there's no way in happening, or giving them my debit card numbers to verify if I'm over 18. I just wanted to ask, if I were to do the latter, would they know info like who the card belongs to (my name) or do they just check only if it's a real card?
