Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age www.reddit.com

I'm seeking a more private life and trying to remove as much of google from my life as possible. I'm using Firefox as of now but Firefox defaults to the Google search engine. Is Google able to access my information and local files from using their search engine (not signed in) similarly to how they can when using chrome browser. Additionally if i sign into a Google account on YouTube alone, how much can they gather on me?

access can engine files firefox google google search information life local privacy private remove search search engine
