GI BILL used for SANS / GIAC Certifications

Got my GI BILL papers back. Wanted to use my benefits for the Sans degree program, but they told me I had to go take 1 college course from a different college in order for my Joint Military Transcript credits to be officially converted to college credits. And after THAT I can use my GI bill for the SANS / GIAC Certs.
Anyone have experience doing this? Kinda lost in the sauce on where exactly …
