Germany - privacy friendly bank?

My bank (die Sparkasse) now wants me to have a "recognized device" to log in from a browser, meaning they want at least cookies stored for a log in without an offline device. That's what their website says. I don't know what else they want but I don't like being bullied.
I know the banks are the vanguard of Klaus Schwab's minions …
