The FTC issued a notice last week that sites which change their terms to grant them permission to sell or use users’ data for the purpose of training AI is unfair, deceptive and therefore illegal under the FTC Act.

So Reddit’s announcement that it has sold access to all content to Google for the purpose of training AI is likely illegal.

I will be filing a complaint with the FTC on Monday, I would recommend everyone else do the same. …
