From your experience whats the good, bad, and ugly of Cyber Security jobs

I am considering pivoting to cyber security-type roles like soc or IR. I am 29 M and have a B.S. in information technology; all electives were cyber security, working at a large oil and gas company as a Data Analyst for 4ish years. I have A+ Working on certs like net+ & security+. I have always had an interest, comfortable with coding and scripting.
