Every time you open a picture in MacOS Ventura, your Mac connects to a remote server.

I have observed that every time I open a picture in Preview on my Mac, a process called "**mediaanalysisd**" makes an encrypted outbound connection to this domain:

api-glb-ause1a.smoot.apple.com

Visual Look Up and Siri suggestions have been **turned off**, yet Preview still acts like it is checking the hash of each photo. Perhaps I am misunderstanding how it is supposed to work, but I find this very distasteful and concerning.
