Europol reveals German law enforcement was behind ‘Monopoly Market’ takedown

Europol [announced](https://www.europol.europa.eu/media-press/newsroom/news/288-dark-web-vendors-arrested-in-major-marketplace-seizure) on Tuesday that 288 suspects involved in drug trafficking on the darknet marketplace “Monopoly Market” have been arrested globally following an unannounced takedown in December 2021. The announcement is the first confirmation that Monopoly Market’s disappearance was the result of law enforcement action.
