As the title says, my employer is asking for me to provide the social security number of my child for the employer's IRS reporting (I'm assuming form 1095-B). My child is utilizing the employer-sponsored health insurance plan. I tried to google whether I am required to provide this, but not finding much. Obviously, I don't want to hand out any of our SSNs unless absolutely necessary. Anyone have some insight into the legal requirements of responding to such a request? …
