Email domain and alaises

Hi all,

I would be grateful if anyone could confirm if there is any point using something like Simple login for alaises if I can setup multiple email addresses on my email domain.

Wouldn't setting them up on my domain just be like setting up on the sites that do this or is there a benefit for setting it up through something like Simple login.
