[Dumb question] Is there redundancy between Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps?

Currently at my workplace, we monitor the above 2 portals (as well as Darktrace and Tenable.io) as our cyber security effort. My team has recently been granted perms to manage alerts in Microsoft Defender, and at first glance it seems like most of not all, of the alerts that we close in the Cloud Apps portal also appear in M365 Defender.
