I feel like with the rise in doorbell camera usage, there should be tighter controls on when these are permitted to record (where camera view is outside private property i.e overlooking the street and other residents' properties).

As these usually have a permanent stream of footage, either changing this to only recording when there's a moving presence close to the door or upon the bell being pressed would be ideal. There's no law inherently in the EU to stop CCTV …
