Does the Associated Press relays their Twitter links through non-HTTPS sites?

Try opening any of their links here:
https://twitter.com/APHealthScience
I can't access any of them, yet when I disable my "HTTPS Everywhere" and "Universal Bypass" add-ons I can.
When I try to open their links while those 2 add-ons are enable I see a "HTTP" address on the url.
Is this secure?
