Does Reddit's "transactional information" privacy policy mean that using reddit Gold hugely compromises your account?

Do I understand correctly, that if one buys reddit gold, they could henceforth associate all of that user's posts and comments with a real name?
"If you purchase products or services from us (e.g., Reddit Premium or Reddit Coins), we will collect certain information from you, including your name, address, email address, and information about the product or service you are purchasing."
And it seem alarming that they potentially keep the details forever because it's for "legitimate business purposes", so …
