Does anyone know what "gaia_account_name" means specifically in the context of a Google Duo database table?

I couldn't find much at all, but I feel like "gaia" has some connotation like mother/creator/origin, and thus "gaia_account_name" means the account name of the user that setup Google Duo on the device.
Any progress toward certainty is greatly appreciated.
