Does anyone know any good alternatives to Discord?

I've been considering stopping using Discord, and Wire seems to do the same thing, is easy to set up, and is open source, but I'm wondering what you think of it, because I barely hear Wire being discussed online. I would prefer something user friendly, because most people I know aren't really willing to switch to a new app just for me, which is entirely understandable, hence me still unfortunately using Instagram frequently.
