Does anybody else think security jobs and "moving to the field" have been overhyped online from 2020-early 2022 and now the reality hits?

A year ago you would get so many reports and YouTube videos about how there is a huge cybersecurity skill shortage, how there are xx million open jobs, you just need a cert and will earn $80k at a fully remote Job etc.
