I've been using Sync.com (I'm spelling it fully not to shill for the company, but because shortening it to "sync" can cause a lot of confusion) for a couple of years now... and I pay about $100/year for the service.

My college-aged kid is heading off to school and wants at least 50G of secure online storage for photos and school files. I don't love the idea of paying another $100/year, so I'm trying to find another solution... and wondering …
