Do airports scan or save a copy of vaccine cards when traveling internationally?

I will be traveling internationally soon (from the US) and I'm wondering if, when I show my vaccine card, if they will scan my card or save the information in some capacity, or just check that I have it. And if it is being saved, how and for how long? Not a political question, I'm only interested in the privacy implications.
