Discord vs messanger & Whatsapp

BF wants me to swap from talking on Discord to Whatsapp & Messenger because "discord is very shady, more so than Meta"
I did my research concluding that Meta has two larger issues then Discord. 1. Meta employs can read whatever they want to. 2. They are bigger companies = more likely for higher force penetration and hacking?
I feel like nothing is safe, but I honestly don't use my phone nor want to keep chrome open at all times …
