Deep learning, worth it or drop it?

ML/DL open source like tensorflow etc. Any use cases for cybersec?

I have been slowly picking it up and hoping to find some use cases on blue team, write a model based on data from splunk indexes, to help in threat hunting, monitoring network for anomaly's.

My idea is to somehow use it to pick up on insider threat, behavior anomaly's since I might have descent dataset for that.

How do you guys feel bout this technology and cybersec?
