Decline of private conversation?

The closure of many UK pubs, the rise of highly popular chat apps, WhatsApp and Messenger both owned by Meta. The increase of home consumption of alcohol, which causes people to be a little more loose lipped and more likely to speak/ message freely on these 'private' chat services.
