CyberSecurity Side Gigs

Anyone do side gigs when it comes to Cyber? Is it feasible to do a full time job and be a penetration tester on the side? All thoughts welcome. I work full time as a Cybersecurity Specialist. I think Pen Testing is something I’d like to do as well in the future once I get Certs and training for that realm.
