The NIST Cybersecurity for IoT program published Considerations for Managing Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity and Privacy Risks (NISTIR 8228) in June 2019, nearly 3 years ago. Since then, IoT technology has continued to develop and be adopted across sectors and markets. NIST’s own work, both in and outside IoT, has also progressed since the publication of NISTIR 8228.
