Cryptomator / Boxcryptor alternatives ?

I used to use Cryptomator in order to encrypt my files on a USB drive and i was able to decrypt them both on my Mac and my iPad with the mobile app. It has become really unreliable and despite installing the latest updates of Fuse or allowing kernel extensions i simply cannot unlock my vault on my Mac. Yesterday I installed BoxCryptor and I am simply unable to launch it on my Mac.
