Cross-platform disk encryption

My question is this: is there a way to meet all three of these criteria?

1) Encrypted drive

2) Read/write on a mac

3) Read/write the same files on a PC

\- Without using Veracrypt, since it requires MacFUSE which is now closed source & requires security degradation by using kernel extensions.

\- Paragon software for windows only allows read access for MacOS encrypted drives.
