Creating my first Policy

I’m currently working at a startup, and they asked me and a coworker to put a policy together for Contractors. (1099 employees, temporary employees etc.) This will be the first policy either of us have put together. Hoping someone could point in the right direction, what will the policy have to contain? Where can I get some examples? Anyone here ever had to create a policy like this? Any insight is appreciated.
