Could smart contracts and blockchain be holy grail of cybersecurity?

So, I'm no expert, just surface level idea seems interesting. Imagine making whole operating systems on principles of smart contracts somehow, making any intrusion impossible, or any change. So for example smartphone operating system could be run on blockchain system, sharing data with companies only through smart contracts. Thoughts?
