I'm a technical guy by trade, but have been involved in staffing/BD/etc for some years now. I have contemporaries that aren't technical by background, but are pushing initiatives like "SOC Modernization, Blockchain PMOs, Security Framework overhauls, etc." I've helped write some of the material presented to clients and even am a "trusted advisor" to clients, but am often not mentioned during our higher level leadership calls. One leader is more or less getting credit because he corralled SMEs.
