Confused about privacy of virtual credit cards

Hi all, my threat model includes surveillance capitalism. I want to use my credit card while preventing companies from linking my identity with the stores/items I buy. Can virtual credit cards do that? For example, if I buy a book from an online bookstore, then the following entities will know (italicized for items of concern):

**BOOKSTORE:** ***store name***; ***item***; amount; date; virtual credit number.

**VIRTUAL CARD:** ***my identity***; ***store name***; amount; date; virtual credit number; real credit/debit number.
