CLEAR airport program - biometrics concern

I was thinking of signing up for the CLEAR program because the TSA Pre lines are pretty long these days. I am tempted to sign up because I have almost missed a few flights this year despite being TSA Pre due to the long lines.

However I was concerned about the security and privacy of my biometrics with them.
