How secure would a chip-ID/Driver's License activated by a smart card reader + password be for online banking? That is, to avoid having to prove your identity (SSN, upload selfie, upload copy of driver's license) over and over to new companies when registering for an account? With all the data breaches, a lot of information is being compromised. Would this help reduce identity theft? Also, to avoid having to memorize several passwords with 2-FA.
